    American politician

    Simcha Felder (born December 30, 1958) is an American politician from Borough Park, Brooklyn.[1] He represents the 22nd district in the New York State Senate.

    A Democrat, Felder has been a member of the State Senate since 2013; he caucused with Senate Republicans from 2013 to 2018 and has caucused with Senate Democrats since 2019.

    Early life and early career

    Felder's father was Rabbi Harry Felder, spiritual leader of Beth Aaron Congregation in Borough Park.[2] Felder is an Orthodox Jew.[3]

    Early in his career, Felder served as chief of staff to DemocraticNew York State Assembly member Dov Hikind.[4]
